What is the proposition of Warje Multispeciality Hospital?
The proposal to construct a 350-bed multi-specialty hospital to be built on DBFOT basis on the municipal site at Warje was approved in the Standing Committee on 17th February 2023. The contractor will take a loan of Rs 360 for this hospital and will also take insurance for it. In 2022, the People’s Appointed Standing Committee approved a proposal to set up a 350-bed multi-specialty hospital on DBOFT basis at the municipal site in Warje. When the tenure of the Standing Committee was ending in March 2022, the BJP members had suggested that the Municipal Corporation should be the guarantor of the loan taken by the contractor company for the hospital to be built on DBFOT basis.
Rural Enhancers ltd. and M/s. A. C. Shaikh Contractor (M/s. A. C. Shaikh Contractor) participated in the tenders called for by the Municipal Health Department. Among them, the proposal of Rural Enhancers was more profitable, so the decision to give work to this company was taken on February 17, 2023 in the Standing Committee meeting. This company has 10 percent free beds, 6 percent beds are CGHS. will be available at the rate, while the remaining 84 percent beds will be used by the concerned institutions at the commercial rate. 90 lakh rupees will be paid annually to the municipal corporation. In the 30-year agreement, the rent will increase at the rate of 3 percent every year.
This company wants to take a loan from a foreign company on behalf of the municipal corporation and an insurance company in the Netherlands is going to insure this loan. Loan installments are to be paid by the concerned institution.
Also, according to the order of the state government, a tripartite agreement will be made between the municipality, the related organizations, the loan supplying bank and the insurance company. It has been said in the proposal that there will be no financial liability on the Municipal Corporation.
