| Orders to be prepared to face emergency situations

 Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) – (The Karbhari News Service) – Heavy rains in the city on Saturday left Pune residents in a state of shock.  Pune PMC administration had to face criticism from social organizations and political parties in this regard.  Therefore, Municipal Commissioner Dr Rajendra Bhosale (Dr Rajendra Bhosale IAS) held a meeting with the HODs to plan in this regard.  (PMC Pune Municipal Corporation)

 Last week, the roads in the city were flooded due to rains on Friday and Saturday.  Due to this, the administration has started to be strongly criticized from all levels.  A delegation of BJP, MNS, Shiv Sena, Congress party and MP Supriya Sule met Commissioner Bhosale and read the complaints.  Due to this, on Wednesday Commissioner Bhosle held a meeting with all account heads, deputy commissioners and zonal officers and issued strict instructions.  The meeting lasted for about three hours.  (Pune PMC News)
 Commissioner Bhosle said about this meeting, all the regional officers have been asked to review the drainage in their area.  The concerned contractor has been ordered to carry out the rest of the work.  The responsibility of the contractor is to work till the end of monsoon.  In this regard, instructions have been given to inspect and do the work.  It has also been ordered to take proper action regarding pruning of branches to reduce the incidence of tree fall.
 In this meeting, it was also discussed to increase the coordination between the regional office and the main account, what preventive measures can be taken in the future.  Stating that there was a discussion about what can be done in the areas affected by the rain last week, Dr.  Bhosle said, the field offices have been asked to get the information about the machinery and equipment available from them, and accordingly they should be made available, and if there is time, it has been suggested that they should be purchased.  Field Offices must remain in touch with the Head Office throughout the monsoon period.  Also, we should discuss with the people’s representatives of the concerned areas, complete the works according to their suggestions, and prepare to face the emergency situation that will arise in the future.  Instructions have been given that special care should be taken in areas where water is always stored, places where water seeps into urban areas, and necessary measures should be taken there.
