Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to increase domestic gas supply through pipelines in the country; A special national campaign has been announced for this. A nationwide campaign has been undertaken from January 26 to March 31; MNGL also actively participated in Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) and conducted a special activity in Anstin County Society at Tathwade. In this, public awareness about PNG was created among the citizens. Interestingly, under this campaign, MNGL has also implemented a special scheme for consumers. The central government is heavily promoting piped natural gas (PNG) as an alternative to domestic gas cylinders. Through this, the central government is providing gas connection in many areas; A special plan is also being planned for this. The campaign is being implemented by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) from 26th January to 31st March in collaboration with natural gas distribution companies in urban and metropolitan areas. It has a special emphasis on promoting the use of domestic piped natural gas (PNG) and increasing the number of PNG consumers across the country.
Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) supplies natural gas to Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities for vehicles and domestic use. At present gas is supplied in Hadapsar, Magarpatta, Vimannagar, Kothrud, Model Colony, Warje, Narveer Tanaji Malusare Road (Singhgad Road) Erandwane, Pimpri, Nehrunagar, Ajmera, Chikhali, Moshi, Chinchwad, Chakan, Hinjewadi and Wakad.
MNGL has also launched a special campaign to create awareness about PNG services as per the instructions of PNGRB. A special program was organized at Astin County Society in Tathwade to create awareness about PNG services. On this occasion, the residents of the society expressed their satisfaction with the service provided by MNGL.
Meanwhile, MNGL has implemented a new scheme to attract new customers under PNGRB’s campaign. Under this, the residents of the gasified society will get two options for the service of MNGL. In this, charges of Rs 1 per day and actual gas consumption can be paid through monthly bill. Also, as per the old system one can avail the service of MNGL even by paying 6550/-. Therefore, it has been appealed on behalf of MNGL that consumers should take advantage of this.
