PMC JICA Project (JICA) Funding for Nala Basin and Monsoon Line Works

Pune : (The Karbhari Online) – For the management of monsoon water (Pune Monsoon Water Management) in the city of Pune, works such as improvement of the Nala Basin, construction of culverts, laying of Monsoon Line have been started. But the funds of 35 crores are insufficient for these works. This fund will be allocated from the work of PMC JICA Project. The proposal in this regard has been placed before the Standing Committee (PMC Standing Committee) by the administration. (PMC Sewerage Maintenance and Repair Department)

Corresponding works have started at the site. 54 crore tender process was implemented for this. However, the Sewerage Maintenance and Repair Department will need additional funds of 35 crores to complete this work before March 31, 2024. Accordingly a classification proposal is presented.
A provision of 200 crores is available for implementation of sewage management plan (JICA) for carrying out root-mutha improvement works under the budget code ZE16D103/MP4-11 National River Improvement from Sewerage Maintenance and Repair Department of Pune Municipal Corporation. 35 crores will be classified out of it.
