Pune Municipal Corporation Budget – (The Karbhari News Service) – Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is going to be the base for the disabled people (Divyang) in Pune city. Many schemes are run by the Social Development Department ( SDD Pune Corporation ) for the disabled persons (Divyang). Schemes have been introduced Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar (IAS) has made provision for the proposed schemes in the Municipal Budget (PMC Budget 2024-25)

Social Development Department of Pune Municipal Corporation implements various schemes for the disabled. These include free PMPML bus pass for the disabled, getting artificial limbs, self-employment, higher education, financial assistance for training, financial assistance to the registered voluntary organization in the municipal area which takes care of mentally challenged persons above 18 years of age or to the parents of the mentally challenged person, financial assistance for the marriage of disabled-disabled, disabled-disabled persons, disabled persons. Financial support for purchase of musical instruments to established art troupes, financial support for the development of businesses started by disabled business groups, P.M.P.M.L. 50% concession in tickets, annual financial assistance to disabled persons.

– To provide financial assistance up to 1 lakh for the treatment of chronic diseases of disabled citizens.
– Disability athletes selected in national and state level games will be given Rs. 30,000/- to provide financial assistance.
– Annual fee under Urban Poor Medical Assistance Scheme for Disabled Citizens Rs. 200/- to pay.
– In order to develop an interest in education and to make educational progress and to stand on their own, both parents should support the children of disabled parents and the disabled children of disabled parents etc. 1st to etc. While studying in 12th as educational expenses and etc. 1st to etc. To provide financial assistance to disabled children in 10th and industrial training institutes to attend school and industrial training institutes.
