But it seems to be falling. Moreover, while taking action, the employees of the Municipal Corporation (PMC Pune Employees) have to face the wrath of the people. Manpower required for action is also insufficient with the Municipal Corporation. Therefore, Pune Municipal Corporation is now going to hire 100 security guards from Maharashtra State Security Corporation on the lines of Pimpari-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. According to the government decision, a total of 158 posts have been approved in the Pune Municipal Corporation Encroachment Department as List ‘A’ – Urban Police System – 130 and List ‘B’ – Special Cell for Civil Crime Registration Investigation and Prosecution – 28 in Economic Offenses Branch attached to the Police Commissioner’s Office. Actually currently 2 PO, 1 PO. And 35 police personnel are present and out of them absent due to long term leave (maternity, child care), sickness and also 1 police inspector out of 2 police inspectors is in charge of Assistant Commissioner of Police and controls the activities from the main department. So actually 2 officers and 20 to 22 police personnel are available for duty. Due to lack of security in the operation, attacks on the employees are taking place on a large scale.
