Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Water Supply Complaint |  insufficient water supply in the Nagar road ward office area!

|  Complaints are not entertained at PMC CARE

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Water Supply Complaint |  In the area of Survey No. 48/3, Kranti Nagar, near Anand Park Bus Stop, Wadgaonsheri Pune under PMC Nagar Road Zonal office, since December 2023 some houses are getting insufficient water supply.  Houses within 10 to 15 meters inland from the main channel are mainly affected.  The main reason for this is the reduced water pressure.  Meanwhile, citizens complain about this to PMC CARE, but it is not taken into account.  What should citizens do in such a situation?  Such a question is being raised.  (Pune Municipal Corporation Water Supply Complaint)
In this regard, it is necessary to find out the technical reasons for the decrease in water pressure, but along with it, it is equally important to stop the tap connections taken without any permission.  (Pune Municipal Corporation Water Complaint)
Survey No. 48/3 and 4 in Vadgaonsheri are dominated by Gunthewari constructions.  Due to excessive construction in less space, the tenant retention rate is huge and hence the water requirement is continuously increasing.  Due to this growing need, the practice of hand-picking local plumbers to take illegal taps has been a royal practice since the very beginning.  (Pune Municipal Corporation Water supply)
Many landlords have resorted to rampant illegal taps in the past two months, fearing less water this year and the possibility of water cuts to tenants.  It is because of this sudden increase in tap connections that some households away from the main channel face water scarcity.
According to the complaint, we are expected to find other technical reasons for insufficient water supply in the specified area and to eliminate them and to take strict action against illegal tap connections where more than one nest is taken.
On January 9, 2024, citizens tried to complain about this through the ‘PMC CARE’ website, but the token number was not received and the complaint status is still “Registering”.  Citizens are suffering from the poor planning of the municipal corporation.
