Rajni Tribhuvan was the mayor of Pune city between 2005 and 2007. She became the mayor on 18 February 2005. He continued to serve as mayor until the end of the five-year term. Tribhuvan was a two-time corporator from Tadiwala Road ward. His tenure as Municipal Member was from 2002 to 2007 and 2007 to 2012. She was the first woman mayor from a slum and a backward class. Rajni Tribhuvan held various organizational responsibilities in the Congress party.
