Pune |  Considering the increasing number of people traveling by airplane, Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the Pune district Ajit Pawar has directed that the new terminal of Pune Airport should be provided with high and world class facilities to the passengers, which will match the reputation of Pune.
             Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar inspected the new terminal at Pune Airport and its facilities.  On this occasion, MLA Sunil Tingre, Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Collector Suhas Diwase, Airport Authority of India General Manager PK Datta, Airport Director Santosh Doke and senior officers of the concerned departments were present on this occasion.
             Deputy Chief Minister Pawar said, the new airport terminal will add to the glory of Pune.  A large number of travelers from all over the country come to Pune.  This new terminal will increase the number of passengers and flights and make their journey comfortable and convenient.  This terminal, which is full of modern facilities, will increase the air travel capacity.  Domestic and international flights from Pune have been greatly facilitated by this terminal and the increasing number of passengers in the future has been considered.
 The new terminal will increase passenger as well as business facilities.  At this time, Mr. Pawar made suggestions that attractive indoor plants should be planted in the airport area, information about important heritage sites in the state and Pune should be displayed in English along with Marathi, cleanliness should be given priority.  He inspected and inquired about the aerobridge, aircraft parking, private aircraft parking, check in counter, VIP lounge, baggage handling and other facilities.
             Airport Director Mr. Doke gave information about the facilities provided for the passengers, arrival-departure system, vehicle parking, baggage handling system, lounge and other facilities and the facilities to be done in the future as well as the renovation of old Airport.
