| Pune Metro passenger numbers continue to rise

 Pune Metro – (The Karbhari News Service) – After the inauguration of the route from Ruby Hall Clinic Metro Station to Ramwadi Metro Station by the Prime Minister on March 6, 2024, the number of metro passengers is continuously increasing.  In the month of June 2024, the number of daily passengers has crossed 90 thousand, the average number of passengers per day in the month of June has been recorded as 93,198 and the average revenue per day has been Rs.14,73,648.  This information was given on behalf of Pune Metro Administration.  (Pune Metro News)
 The response of Pune residents to Metro is encouraging and it is definitely helping to reduce vehicular congestion and pollution.  As of now, 29.58 km of the 33.2 km route of Pune Metro has been operationalized and work on the remaining 3.62 km route is going on at a fast pace and this route will also be open for passengers in the next two to three months.
 Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Metro Station, Pune Railway Metro Station, Ramwadi Metro Station, Vanaj Metro Station, Pune Municipal Corporation Metro Station, Nal Stop Metro Station have been found among the stations with an average of more than 5000 passengers per day.
 If we look at the distribution of the number of passengers in Purple Margika (Margika 1) from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Metro Station to District Court Metro Station and Aqua Margika (Margika 2) from Vanaz Metro Station to Ramwadi Metro Station, 22,097 passengers traveled on Margika 1 daily in the month of June.  47,567 passengers traveled on Margika 2.

 On this occasion, Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of Maha Metro, said, “In the month of June, the daily average number of metro passengers has reached more than 90,000 and this is a very positive change in the public transport of Pune city. Due to this, the public transport system is getting stronger.”
