Extension to apply for PMC Gunvant Kamgar Award to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Employees
PMC Gunvant Kamgar Purskar | Gunvant Kamgar Purskar (Gunvant Kamgar Purskar) is awarded annually to 20 PMC Employees and Officers from Class 1 to 4 of the Municipal Corporation under the Pune Municipal Labor Welfare Fund. This year 40 awards will be given for two years ie 2020-21 and 2021-22 each. For this, applications were called from the Labor Welfare Department (PMC Labor Welfare Department). The deadline to apply was given till October 31. Even after that, not enough applications were filed by extending the deadline. Awards are given annually
Gunwant Kamgar Award is given on behalf of PMC Labor Welfare Department to encourage and express gratitude towards PMC Pune employees and officers for their work. This award is given to 20 employees from class 1 to class 4 every year. The award consists of 25 thousand rupees, citation and trophy. These 20 employees include 1 officer each of Class 1 and Class 2, 5 employees of Class 3 and 13 employees of Class 4. (PMC Pune News)
| What are the awards based on?
Various criteria are considered while awarding meritorious workers. It also takes into consideration the personal information of employees in particular. Service information is also considered. In this, the information about the contribution of the employee in increasing the income of the municipal corporation and saving is taken into consideration. The confidential appraisal reports of the employees for the last 5 years are also taken. Also, opinions about the participation of employees in cultural and social activities are taken into consideration. It is reviewed whether any awards have been received for academic work. Participation in sporting events and proficiency in a sport are also taken into consideration. Whether the employee has written and published any book, written any articles in newspaper or magazine is also considered. Marks are given after reviewing all such things.
: Who conducts the interview?
Apart from this, the employees are also interviewed. A panel of 5 to 6 people has been formed for this. These include the Chief Labor Officer, President of the Pune Shramik Journalists Association, a director from a local self-government body, an official from the management of Pune University, a person from a private company and an office bearer from a trade union.
