Demand to the Chief Minister to transfer the PMC Commissioner who do not follow the resolution of the PMC General Body

 |  Vivek Velankar made a demand

Vikram Kumar PMC Commissioner |  Pune Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Vikram Kumar IAS, who has not submitted the budget of Pune Municipal Corporation on time for the second year in a row, should be immediately replaced.  Such a demand has been made by Vivek Velankar Sajag Nagrik Manch president to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.  (Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)
The Commissioner must submit the budget before January 15
According to Velankar’s statement, the annual budget is the backbone of any municipal administration.  It is the prime duty of the Municipal Commissioner to prepare it on time.  In this regard, the General Assembly of the People’s Representatives of Pune Municipal Corporation has passed a resolution and fixed the schedule in this regard, which the Commissioner is bound to follow.  According to this resolution, the Commissioner must submit the budget before 15th January every year.  (Pune PMC News)
Velankar said that since the people’s representatives and their general assembly did not exist for the last two years, the commissioner and administrator have spoiled the budget schedule by working in an arbitrary manner.  Even this year, this budget has not been prepared yet.  In fact, since the people’s representatives and their general assembly do not exist, the commissioners need to act more responsibly.  Although they are chartered servants, they are arbitrarily ruling the city as if they own it.
