Honeytrap DRDO Scientist | Pune Anti Terrorist Squad has arrested a senior scientist of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for providing sensitive government information of the country to Pakistan. The court has remanded the senior scientist to nine counts of police custody. (Honeytrap DRDO scientist)

Suspicious DRDO scientists were in touch with intelligence operatives in Pakistan. For that, the Pune team of ATS got the information that they are using social media contact facility. After that the ATS team started technical investigation. According to the information received in the investigation, the scientist was arrested. According to the information of ATS, on May 3, while working in the office of the DRDO scientist in Pune, it has come to light that he was in contact with the intelligence operatives of Pakistan through social information WhatsApp voice messages, video calls. This action was taken due to the suspicious activity of providing government secret information to Pakistan. In this case, ATS has registered a case in Kala Chowki Police Station in Mumbai. A case has been registered under the Government Secrets Act, 1923.

Inquiry into information provided

The scientist is currently being interrogated. How did they come in contact with Pakistani intelligence? An investigation is underway to find out what information he provided. He was going to retire in the month of November. In the past, there have been incidents in the country where senior military officers were caught in the trap of friendship with young women by Pakistani intelligence agencies. After that, instructions have been given to soldiers along with senior army officers.
