Pune | Canal Advisory Committee meeting on Saturday! | will discussion about water planning
Pune | Canal Advisory Committee The Canal Advisory Committee meeting for Khadakwasla Project will be held on Saturday. The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil.
The four dams of Khadakwasla project have 27.60 TMC i.e. almost 95% water storage. But it has been raining heavily for the past few days. Therefore, the water level of Ujani Dam, which is dependent on this dam, has not increased. Also, since there is no rain in Pune district, water has to be provided for the agriculture which depends on these dams. Now how will this water cycle be given. This will be discussed in the canal committee meeting. Also, if there is no rain in September, drinking water will have to be given priority in terms of summer. Therefore, water planning will be important. This will be discussed in this meeting.
