The Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was today launched at the state level in Pune in an enthusiastic atmosphere where women were seen dancing to the tune of drums and Lazims and the entire Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Nagari area jam packed with the women with Smiles on the faces. Added to their joy were the greetings extended by the chief minister and the deputy chief ministers. Expressing his sentiments on the occasion, chief minister Mr. Eknath Shinde said that it is his sincere wish to see the lives of women filled with happiness and flourish and said that it was with this objective the Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has been initiated. He said that under the scheme rupees1500 per month is being given to the beneficiary women as the Mahercha Aher – The gift on behalf of parents given by the elder brother.

The program that was conducted at the Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Nagari at Mahalunge- Balewadi was attended by the union minister of state Muralidhar Mohol, deputy chief minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, minister for cooperation Dilip Valse Patil, higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Dada Patil, deputy chairperson of the state legislative council Dr Neelam Gorhe, minister for women and child development Aditi Tatkare and other dignitaries.

Stating that today is the moment of joy in the lives of beloved sisters, Chief Minister Mr. Shinde said that lakhs of sisters have been benefited through the Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and he is very happy to watch the smiling faces of the sisters, all over. He said that their love is very precious in his life, adding that financial provision for the scheme, for the entire year, has been made. He said that this 1500 means a lot for the sisters in need. They can meet the pressing needs of the families and at the same time can be economically enhanced, adding that now there is no need to beg before anybody.

The chief minister further said that the chance to fill the form for the scheme is till 31 of August and after submitting the application, the amount of rupees 4500 for 3 months including July, August and September will be deposited in their bank accounts. He said that the deposit in some of the bank accounts is possible only after the bank accounts are linked with the Aadhar number.

The chief minister assured that each and every eligible sister will be given the benefit of the scheme and said that it is a matter of satisfaction that a certain amount will be deposited in the bank accounts of lakhs of sisters, every month.

He further said that the Mukhyamantri annpurna Yojana has been initiated for the women of the state under which three gas cylinders are provided free of charge. He also said that along with sisters, the state government is also supporting brothers through schemes like Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana. He said that the welfare schemes are implemented in Maharashtra to ensure that the lives of all the constituents of the society should experience movements of joy and happiness, adding that serving the common people is the goal of his government. He said that every scheme is being implemented at a greater pace.

He said that his government is eager to see that women become Lakhpati and they get self- confidence and hence many schemes for the development of women are implemented. He assured that there will be no paucity of funds to bring them into the mainstream. He said that the government will be taking all possible efforts in the interest of sisters.

Will create the Maharashtra that honors women- DCM Mr. Fadnvis

Both the center and the state government are taking efforts to see that there is partnership of women in the economy of the state as it will definitely accelerate the economy of the state and as such, we will create Maharashtra where women are honored, said deputy chief minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. He said that the provision for the Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana up to March 2025 has been made and thereafter, provisions in the budget of each year will be made for keeping this scheme going on in continuity.

Mr Fadnavis further said that today’s program is the program of Savitri’s daughters. He said that Pune is the soil of socialization and transformation and hence the Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana has been launched in this historical city. He said that this government is the one that gives benefit to the sisters, adding that the benefit under the scheme had been deposited in the bank accounts of 1 crore 3 lakh women before the beginning of this program here. He also said that those women whose applications will be scrutinized in August will be getting the benefit from the month of July and those whose will be done in September will also be getting benefit from the month of July. He further said that under the leadership of the women and child development minister Aditi Tatkare and secretary Anup Kumar Yadav, the process of providing benefits under the scheme is going on at a greater pace.

He also said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has dreamt to make India ‘Developed Bharat’. He has the view that if women are developed only then can Bharat develop and as such the union government as well as the state government have initiated schemes like Lakhpati Didi, Lek Ladki, waiving off the education fees, the Ladki Bahin Yojana are all initiated with the same objective and we are taking efforts to see that women also have partnership in the economy of the state.

He further said that these schemes are evident that we are expressing our gratitude towards women. This is Ovhalni on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan festival. He said that no property and no price can buy the love and affection of mother and sister, adding that my mothers and sisters understand the importance of 1500 rupees.

Speaking on the occasion deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said that the Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana had been started in order to give respect and honor to the women and empower them. He said that the mothers and sisters of the state had given a huge response to this scheme. Till date, 1 crore 3 lakh beneficiaries have been benefited and the amount of rupees 3000 for July and August month has been deposited in their accounts. He said that the faces of the women are reflecting their joy and this is a matter of satisfaction for us. He said that in fact this amount is Ovhalni on the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

He further said that women also have some expectations from life but they keep it aside in order to meet the demands of family and in this way they go on and on. He said that through schemes like Ovhalani an effort to fulfill their expectations is taken up. This scheme will also be going uninterrupted in the future and not even a single eligible woman will be deprived of getting the benefit of this ambitious scheme.

He said that in the budget of the state the Mukhyamantri Baliraja Mofat Veej Yojana, Mukhymantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana, providing free vocational education to girls and other such beneficiary schemes have been launched. He said that to reduce unemployment and make the lives of common people better, many welfare decisions have been taken by the state government. He said that the state and the union government are working hand in hand for creating a network of metro and appealed to the citizens to extend their cooperation in the development works.

Women get a solace due to the scheme –Dr. Neelam Gorhe

The deputy chairperson of the State Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe expressed satisfaction that in the history of women policies of the past three decades, this is the first invitation letter of the program that also had printed the name of the mothers. She further said that the number of women is nearly 50 percent and they work for two third days. Only one percent of the property is registered against the names of the women and in such a situation, the schemes like Mukhyamantri- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will definitely be giving a solace to the women of the state. She expressed joy that this scheme has been launched in Pune which has the legacy of progressive tradition and development of women.

Efforts to benefit more than 2 crore women- Aditi Tatkare

In her introductory speech Minister Aditi Tatkare said that the Raksha Bandhan festival will be celebrated after a couple of days and the beloved brothers including the chief minister and both the deputy chief ministers have already given their Ovahalni to the sisters in advance. She said that the scheme is getting remarkable response. She said that till date, 1 crore 35 lakh women are deemed eligible for this scheme and bank accounts of 1 crore 3 lakh beneficiaries were benefited through deposit of rupees three thousand each. She said that the government officers and employees, Anganwadi sevikas, helpers, Gram Sevaks and others took a lot of pain to ensure that this scheme becomes a success. She said that the government intends to give the benefit of this scheme to more than two crore women of the state.

The bronze medal winner in Paris Olympic Swapnil Kusale was felicitated at the hands of the chief minister on this occasion. The book entitled Yashaswini platform for guiding the women Self -Help groups was also released at the hands of dignitaries. The cheques and smart cards related to schemes were distributed to some of the beneficiaries in representative form at the hands of the chief minister and the deputy chief ministers.
